ABOUT UNPR
ABOUT US The National Union of Romanian Employers (U.N.P.R.)
is a non-governmental, non-political completely private organization.
It is national representative and has 10 territorial branches. UNPR has
5.000 members - most small and medium sized enterprises – with a
turnover about 10% of GDP.
Our members are entirely private businessmen who affiliate willfully and
desire to protect their own interests.
Thus conceived, UNPR organization chart includes 6 departments covering
the political and economical Romanian reality:
- Parliament, Government and Trade Unions Relations Department
- Programs Development and Implementation Department
- Economic Strategies and Policies Department
- Business and Banking Relations Department
- Public Relations Department
- Foreign Relations Department
OUR MISSION is to represent the legitimate interests
of the small and medium-sized companies in the most important activity
fields.
OBJECTIVES Among UNPR objectives, some of the most
important are: Protecting and encouraging the legitimate interests of
its adherent members; Proposing the administrative measures necessary
for the maintenance and development of small and medium-sized companies;
Sustaining the social dialog by equally taking into consideration the
employers’ and the employees’ interests.
RECOGNITION At international level, UNPR is recognized
as partner of Union of Small and Medium Entrepreneurs of European People’s
Party ( SME Union of EPP) and European Builders Confederation (EBC). As
member of EBC and SME Union, UNPR assumes the responsibility of promoting
and supporting the efforts of Romanian employers to implement the European
Union requirements.
UNPR is developing programs with German and Bulgarian SME’s organizations.
MEMBERS Apart from its county branches, UNPR comprises
also professional associations from various activity fields that represent
branches and sub-branches of the national economy.
UNPR represents also the interests of the light weight concrete producers.
Among the foundation members are the most important construction materials
producer companies. Member companies of our association have a turnover
of more than 50 million Euro and over 2000 employees.
SERVICES
• Our members are provided juridic, economic and financial advice
by firms specialized in the small and medium sized companies’ activity
fields. As well our members have the possibility to particpate in the
activities organized and carried out by UNPR. Upon request, members can
be given support in their proceeding for attaining the trading companies
quality certificates under the license of Romanian Society for Quality
Insurance.
• Our members can be actively promoted on domestic and international
media so that they can benefit of their image in a view to strenghtening
the economic ties with well- known domestic and foreign companies.
• Members of our Union permanently keep the contacts with professional
associations and non-governmental organizations that represent different
economic branches in order to promote their own interests. They receive
up-date information on all the issues concerning UNPR activity.
• By its administrative and local structures, UNPR sustains its
members in decision making process by expressing their opinions or launching
different projects.
• By appointing a permanent representative in Brussels, UNPR stays
besides its members with up-to-date information about the means of developing
business abroad subject to European economic environment.
