 New UNPR branch in Neamţ 

On Saturday, February 9^th 2008, Mr. Marian Petre Miluţ, President of UNPR, met a delegation of business men from Neamţ district, the  Moldova region.

Numerous  issues have been the subject of talks: 

• Concrete ways for SMEs to benefit from the structural funds programmes

• Modalities for increasing labour productivity and conforming with the EU standards for quality

• Develop partnerships with the business men from UNPR

• Make a presentation of the UNPR - a nationally representative organization 

As an outcome of the above-mentioned, the creation of the new UNPR branch in Neamţ has been decided.

The "Ultima Ora" Newspaper  and "Romania 2000" Foundation Awards

On Wednesday, January 30^th 2008, the " Ultima Ora" Newspaper and the "Romania 2000" Foundation organized the Award Gala for 2007.

This is the 9^th edition of a traditional festivity. Important figures of the public, political, cultural and sports life, Media and the business sector have been awarded for great achievements in 2007.

Mr. Marian Petre MILUŢ, President of the National Union of Romanian Employers (UNPR), received the "Romania 2000" Foundation and "Ultima Ora"   Excellence Award for 2007.

Romanian road transporters are preparing for a General Strike

        Romanian road transporters are preparing for a General Strike in the field of road transport starting with 25-02-2008.

        The strike announcement will be communicated to all concerned European employers unions with the purpose of being communicated to the foreign transporters that will access the country roads in that period.
        The period of the strike is of minimum 3 days and it can be indeterminately maintained until the solving of transporters problems.

        Our requests have been sent out also to our Permanent Representation of UNPR Office in Brussels, to Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot, to the Romanian Presidency, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The UNPR Awards for Culture, 2007 Edition 

This year, on December 18^th, the National Union of Romanian Employers (UNPR) followed the beautiful tradition of handing Awards to personalities with great cultural achievements in Romania. 

In the presence of UNPR President, Mr. Marian Petre MILUŢ, the following awards have been offered:

The 3^rd INTERNATIONAL UNPR - SME UNION CONFERENCE 

" Transport and Infrastructure in Romania"

Bucharest, 2007 September 28^th  

The 3^rd International UNPR - SME UNION Conference took place at the Palace of the Parliament. The Conference debated the main priorities for the Romanian transportation sector in order to modernize and to conform to the European standards. 

Along with the Government's representatives, other high officials from the European Commission and the SMEs sector from Romania and the EU attended the Conference. 

The Conference was opened by Mr. Marian Petre MILUŢ, President of the National Union of Romanian Employers (UNPR) who emphasized the importance of   implementating the "pan-European corridor, a long term solution which will be able to solve problems like the insufficiency of transport bases, traffic problems, the lack of intelligent security systems and the reduced number of ecological investments".
